اَنْ تُصَلِّىَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اۤلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اَنْ تَفْعَلَ بِىْ كَذَا وَ كَذَا۔۔
(please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad and...
The fourth hour is the space of time between the rise of daylight up to midday (zohr). It is dedicated to Imam Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.). The following is the supplication at this hour:
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَفَا نُوْرُكَ فِىْ اَتَمِّ عَظَمَتِكَ
O Allah, very clear is Your Light in Your most perfect greatness.
وَ عَلَا ضِيَاۤؤُكَ فِىْ اَبْهٰى ضَوْئِكَ
Very exalted is Your brightness in Your most brilliant glow.
اَسْئَلُكَ بِنُوْرِكَ الَّذِىْ نَوَّرْتَ بِهِ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَ الْاَرَضِيْنَ
I beseech You in the name of Your Light by which You have lit up the heavens and the layers of the earth,
وَ قَصَمْتَ بِهِ الْجَبَابِرَةَ
annihilated the tyrants,
وَاَحْيَيْتَ بِهِ الْاَمْوَاتَ
restored the dead to life,
وَ اَمَتَّ بِهِ الْاَحْيَاۤءَ
caused the alive to die,
وَ جَمَعْتَ بِهِ الْمُتَفَرِّقَ
brought together the scattered,
وَ فَرَّقْتَ بِهِ الْمُجْتَمِعَ
split the brought together,
وَ اَتْمَمْتَ بِهِ الْكَلِمَاتِ
perfected the Words, and established the heavens.
وَ اَقَمْتَ بِهِ السَّمٰوَاتِ
I beseech You in the name of Your vicegerent, 'Ali the son of al-Husayn,
اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّ وَلِيِّكَ عَلِىِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ
peace be upon both of them,
لَيْهِ السَّلَامُ
who defended Your religion
الذَّآبِّ عَنْ دِيْنِكَ
and strove painstakingly for Your sake;
وَالْمُجَاهِدِ فِىْ سَبِيْلِكَ
and I present him as my mediation for the
وَ اُقَدِّمُهُ بَيْنَ يَدَىْ حَوَاۤئِجىْ
settling of my needs,
اَنْ تُصَلِّىَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اَنْ تَفْعَلَ بِىْ كَذَا وَ كَذَا۔۔۔
You may now mention your needs.
