HIRZ E IMAM JAFAR AL SADIQ (A)
Fourth: This evil-repelling prayer is ascribed to Imam Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq (‘a):
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the Name of Allah; the All-beneficent, the All-mereiful.
يَا خَالِقَ الْخَلْقِ
O Creator of the creation!
وَ يَا بَاسِطَ الرِّزْقِ
O Amplifying of sustenance!
وَ يَا فَالِقَ الْحَبِّ
O Splitter of grains!
وَ يَا بَارِئَ النَّسَمِ
O Originator of spirits!
وَ مُحْيِى الْمَوْتٰى
O Reviver of the dead!
وَ مُمِيْتَ الْاَحْيَاۤءِ
O Deadener of the living!
وَ دَاۤئِمَ الثَّبَاتِ
O constantly Firm!
وَ مُخْرِجَ النَّبَاتِ
O Bringer forth of plants!
اِفْعَلْ بِىْ مَاۤ اَنْتَ اَهْلُهُ
(Please) do to me what befits You to do,
وَ لَاتَفْعَلْ بِىْ مَاۤ اَنَا اَهْلُهُ
but do not do to me what I deserve,
وَ اَنْتَ اَهْلُ التَّقْوٰى وَ اَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ
for You are the worthiest to be feared and the worthiest to forgive.
